China Rubber Industry Association called on the Chinese government to natural rubber import tariffs from 20% down to 7%, in order to reduce tire production costs. Earlier, the US decided to import cars from China and light truck tire levy punitive tariffs.

     China Rubber Industry Association released Wednesday said in a statement, the United States on Chinese exports to the US tire tariffs "will cause China's exports tires serious disruption expected China will have 30 or so tire companies cut or stop production, nearly 10 million workers employment affected" .

     The announcement also said that the association called on the Chinese government to improve tire export tax rebate rate, the proposed tax rate would increase from the current 9% to 15%.

     In addition, the association called on the Chinese government should restrict or suspend the approval of new projects or capital expansion passenger car and light truck tires; recommended further intensify efforts to counter imports of US products such as agricultural products, machinery, aircraft and other imported goods to raise tariffs or limiting the number.
